I'm starting a new company and want to be able to pick and choose which companies I work with in affiliated marketing. How do I go about doing this?  And how do I set it up to ensure I get paid for the affiliated marketing?

Getrel,

Usually, setting up a new affiliate account is pretty easy.  Typically, there is a registration page that you fill out.  Then, after you login, you will have access to your marketing materials with your specific tracking code.  It would look something like this: http://www.affiliatewatchdogs.org/?AffID=3849

Most affiliate programs pay by check monthly or PayPal (so make sure you have a PayPal account).

Now, I recommend that you sign up and try Google AdSense first.  This will tell you what the baseline amount of money you can expect from the amount of your traffic.  Google's code is easy to cut and paste into any webpage.
