Credit.com deals with everything related to credit: Credit reports, personal loans, credit cards, debt help, home loans, ID theft & security, and more.

The program is run by people who know what they are doing. They are actually helpful and do not BS around.

Pros: The programs that they offer are good programs that help people. The support staff is good. High payouts for most programs.

Cons: Stringent application approval process. Conversion rates are average.

We made $24.00 last month using their program on one of our websites dealing specifically with credit reports. The conversion rate was about 1.65% which is about average. If we used pre-sell pages, the conversion rate would be higher.

LinkWorth is the place to go if you wish to put up some links on your website and make some monthly residual cash.

Out of all the link selling websites, we like Linkworth the best. It appears to us that a lot of work has gone into that website and the backend.

Pros: Easy setup. Good support. You put up the links that you approve. You set the price per link per month. You can set homepage, internal, or sitewide links and vary the pricing.

Cons: You have to fill out a tax form to get paid (basically you are an independent contractor for them). It's easy, but still a pain.

Tip: Use custom pricing. Set your pricing really low to start and then raise it gradually.

We use LinkWorth and make about $300-$350 per month. The website that we use for this is a PR5 gambling related website.

Amazon Affiliate Program

Even though Amazon is huge, their affiliate program just doesn't seem to work well. We have sent targeted traffic in large amounts and have seen low conversion rates. On top of that, when there is a conversion, the payout is terrible.

The Amazon affiliate program may work for you if you have a book that is perfectly targeted to your what your user is reading and you make reference to it in the article with pre-sell info.

We made about $2.65 with the Amazon affiliate program in the last 6 months (and we sent over 500 targeted clicks). Pretty poor.

Just thinking about this website makes me laugh. This is a great affiliate program because the customer WILL remember this website once they have seen it. Prank Place has funny and abnoxous gifts.

The affiliate program converts like crazy on humor or joke sites. The program offers 25% revenue share and 5% to the second tier if you refer more affiliates to them. Payments are by check or PayPal and paid on the first of the month.

We are doing well with this affiliate program. With 100 clicks sent last month, we made $62.50. This is a very good amount per 100 clicks. We used a joke site to get this kind of clicks, but any funny related or entertainment related site should convert.

CJ - Commission Junction Affiliate Marketing Program

CJ is a global conglomerate of thousands of affiliate marketing programs. They have some of the largest affiliate programs such as Yahoo, USA Today, and Buy.com.

Pros: Commission Junction has many stats and reports. Large amount of programs to choose from. You can tell which programs are working for other webmasters and which programs that are popular.

Cons: Many programs will reject you for no reason. You have to determine which programs are right for your website. Many of the programs have low earnings.

We tried to signup for many of programs, and some of the best fits for us rejected us. We have made a disappointing $24.93 in the past 9 months from Commission Junction affiliate programs. Many other webmasters that we have talked to do very well with certain programs of CJ. But, they have admitted that it's tough to find ones that work well right off the bat. You have to keep testing and testing until you find one that converts with your traffic. If you have low traffic (under 100 visitors per day), it can take a really long time to figure all this out.

PayDay Ok Loans Program

In my opinion, this is the best payday loan affiliate program out there. They have good tracking and offer some of the lowest rates for customers to actually get a real cash advance.

For those that are unfamiliar with PayDay loans, let me explain. When a person/customer is in need of an emergency $500 - $1000. They can go online and fill out a loan application. The interest rates charged on these loans are extremely high. But, if you need the money super fast and don't have good credit, this might be one of the only ways to get it.

They pay $25 per accepted customer. We have done fairly well on low traffic and the conversion rates seem to be slightly above average (2-3%). We make about $100 - $125 per month from this affiliate program.

Private affiliate programs (in this case, Adasa.com)

Every webmaster MUST try Google AdSense at least for a week. This program should be your baseline. Most affiliate programs do not do better than AdSense.

Pros: Context sensitive text, image, and now video based ads. In less than a second, Google analyzes your webpage and determines the most relevant ads to display for your website. Google pays between .05 and the highest I've seen is $2.47 per click. Most clicks average about .20 per click, but it varies greatly based on the vertical market that you are in.

Cons: If you have a highly niche website, there is a possibility of you making more money with other affiliate programs.

With our websites, we average over $6,900 per month with the Google AdSense program. This is with considerable traffic and over 500 websites. If you are just starting out, try to get your traffic up and set a goal of $5.00 per day. After that, start setting your own goals, build your content and more revenue will come.

This is a nice affiliate program that offers 10% revenue share on calling cards. 10% is low, but you get the customer for life. So, this program can make some big bucks.

This affliiate program is new, so we are still testing it out. They offer payment by check, paypal, or western union. The website supports Spanish and calling cards are available for Argentina, Australia, Germany, India, Mexico, Phillippines, USA, and the United Kingdom.

Host Gator Affiliate Program

We just started using the Host Gator affiliate program. So, there is not a lot for us to say. Their stats are very nice and in perfect real time.

We have sent 24 unique clicks without any convertions yet, but we will wait for 100 clicks to start passing judgement

NCS Nationwide Card Services, Inc

This affiliate program wants you to promote credit cards. NCS (Nationwide Card Services, Inc.) has a large selection of credit cards to promote. We have been using this program for quite some time.

Pros: Huge selection of different credit cards to choose from to promote. No problems with payment. Some high payouts ($25+) for an accepted application.

Cons: Offers change all the time, hard to keep up. When an offer is discontinued and you continue to promote it, you will not get paid for those conversions. Even though an application is filled out, you may not get paid until it is accepted. It sometimes takes months to find out if it is accepted, delaying your payment.

We have made $42.00 in the past 3 months and sent over 500 highly targeted clicks to NCS programs. We believe that this program could work for some, but just hasn't worked for us.

What is your experience with the NCS affiliate program?

Best Of The Web Affiliate Program

Best of the web is one of the oldest directories on the Internet. It has high trust from the major search engines. Webmasters can gain rankings and PR just by being listed on the directory.

We have found that this converts very well and is consistent. We have made $75 per month from this program with a small about of targeted traffic. The website that we use to promote this program is mostly trafficked by webmasters.

Clickbank Affiliate Program

The Clickbank program has been around for quite some time and we like it.

Pros: The Clickbank Affiliate Program has a wide range of e-books and electronic services that are sure to fit any website. We like the ability to tell if other webmasters are promoting the program that you choose. Lastly, the commissions are usually 50-75% to the affiliate. So, if you can find a high converting service on Clickbank, you can make a lot of money.

Cons: The Clickbank program is out of date. It's hard to find the links, and there is almost no support. It is 2 tiered, but it took us 10 minutes to find the link for it.

We have heard of affiliates using Pay Per Click to make money referrering directly to a specific Clickbank program, but most are not successful, so watch out if you plan to promote this way.

Overall, we like the program and we make about $50-$75 per week consistently from a low amount of traffic from a health website of ours.
